JJ Gabriel restores Instagram posts weeks after wiping page amid Man United exit links

Manchester United academy forward JJ Gabriel has restored two photographs to his Instagram profile, partially reversing the social media wipe he carried out earlier this month following reports that he is seeking to leave the club.

The 15-year-old deleted his entire Instagram presence after it emerged he was looking to depart Old Trafford, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all credited with interest in the teenage talent. Gabriel had also enlisted the services of super agent Ali Barat, heightening speculation over his future.

Gabriel has now brought back two posts to his feed, which has around 862,000 followers. He also remains active on the platform, having shared a training clip to his Instagram Stories. Instagram allows users either to archive and restore posts at will, or to recover deleted content within a 30-day window; it is not known which route Gabriel used.

The two restored posts each mark a notable moment in his early career. One captures the moment he signed a long-term contract with Nike Football, showing him completing the deal and posing in the company’s studio.

Whether the partial restoration signals any shift in his thinking about his United future remains unclear. The club has not commented publicly on the situation.
