Jake Woodley's single right hand sets LFA record with four-second knockout
Jake Woodley charged across the cage and landed one right hand to knock out David Wright in four seconds at LFA 235 in Louisville on Friday, setting the fastest knockout in LFA history and improving his record to 9-1.
Jake Woodley needed just four seconds to end his fight with David Wright at LFA 235 in Louisville on Friday, setting the fastest knockout in the promotion’s history with a single right hand.
From the opening bell, Woodley sprinted across the cage and landed one clean right hand that put Wright down immediately. The finish required no follow-up — Wright was out cold before the referee could intervene, and the clock had barely moved.
The record-breaking stoppage is the most emphatic result of Woodley’s career to date. Now 5-1 inside the LFA with three finishes, he has established himself as one of the promotion’s most dangerous prospects. His overall professional record stands at 9-1, with his only defeat coming in December 2024 — a submission loss via anaconda choke to James Romero.
Woodley entered the bout riding a three-fight winning streak, and the performance underlines why the LFA is regarded as MMA’s premier feeder league for UFC-bound talent.
For Wright, the result was a painful end to a six-fight winning streak. His LFA record now sits at 1-2 following the loss.
