Hokit fires back at 'fat cow pig' Cormier after UFC White House controversy
Josh Hokit has doubled down on his antagonistic persona, responding to Daniel Cormier's criticism of his post-fight comments at UFC White House with a personal insult directed at the Hall of Famer.
Josh Hokit responded to Daniel Cormier’s public criticism with a personal attack on Thursday, calling the UFC Hall of Famer a “fat cow pig” after Cormier expressed disappointment over Hokit’s conduct at UFC White House.
Hokit’s win over Derrick Lewis at the event — billed as a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary — was quickly overshadowed by remarks he made in the aftermath, including a comment about former First Lady Michelle Obama that drew widespread condemnation. Cormier, who acknowledged having a prior relationship with Hokit, was among those who spoke out.
Hokit’s reply left little room for reconciliation. “I’ve been nothing but nice to this fat cow pig,” he wrote. “I’m not here for unity, in reality there will never be unity. I come to divide people’s faces. If you don’t like it then come do something about it.”
The statement is consistent with a persona Hokit has made no effort to conceal — he has been explicit that provoking a reaction is precisely the point. Whether the comments are a calculated attempt to manufacture a fight with Cormier or simply an extension of his established character, the practical outcome is the same: Cormier, 47, has not competed since 2020 and is not a realistic opponent.
What the exchange does do is keep Hokit’s name in circulation well beyond the Lewis fight itself, which by most accounts failed to deliver on its pre-event billing. The controversy has ensured that Hokit, rather than the result, remains the dominant story from the card.
