Georges St-Pierre has thrown his full weight behind Aiemann Zahabi ahead of the Canadian’s bantamweight showdown with Sean O’Malley at UFC White House on Sunday, insisting Zahabi wins the fight if he simply performs to his training-camp standard.

St-Pierre, a UFC double champion and Hall of Famer, will be in Zahabi’s corner alongside the fighter’s brother Firas — the renowned coach widely credited with shaping GSP into one of the sport’s all-time greats. Having watched Zahabi up close in preparation, St-Pierre says he came away genuinely impressed, particularly by how quickly Zahabi recovered from his weight cut.

“I feel good about this,” St-Pierre said. “After seeing how he recuperated in a very small amount of time after his weight cut, it’s just amazing. He looks like the Hulk right now. Aiemann will be successful tomorrow; he just needs to be as good as he is normally in the gym. The way I’ve seen him perform in the gym, he just needs to basically not f—k it up. Don’t try to do too much, just be yourself, that’s enough.”

Zahabi (14-2) arrives at the bout on the back of a seven-fight winning streak that has included victories over Pedro Munhoz, Jose Aldo and Marlon Vera — a run that has firmly established him as a legitimate contender at 135 pounds.

O’Malley (19-3) enters in contrasting form. The former bantamweight champion suffered back-to-back losses in title fights against Merab Dvalishvili before bouncing back with a win over Yadong Song, leaving questions about where he stands among the division’s elite.

For St-Pierre, the blueprint is straightforward: Zahabi does not need to reinvent himself or take unnecessary risks. The confidence GSP is projecting is rooted in what he has witnessed daily in the gym — and with both he and Firas Zahabi cageside, Aiemann will have two of the most experienced minds in the sport guiding him through fight night.
