Glasgow Warriors kept their perfect record intact with a hard-fought 47-27 bonus-point win at Sale Sharks, a result that looked far more comfortable on the scoreboard than it felt on the pitch.

Sale made a blistering start, racing into a 12-point lead inside the opening 10 minutes through tries from Ben Curry and Arron Reed. Glasgow steadied themselves and fought back through a penalty try and further scores from Kyle Steyn and Jamie Dobie to edge ahead 21-15 at the break.

The contest remained finely poised well into the second half when Rekeiti Ma’asi-White crossed to pull Sale back to within four points, threatening to derail Glasgow’s unbeaten run. Instead, the Warriors found another gear entirely.

Late tries from Rory Darge, Ollie Smith and debutant Otavio Tuipulotu put the result beyond doubt and secured the bonus point, turning a nervy contest into a convincing-looking scoreline. Tuipulotu’s try on debut added an extra dimension to a performance that showed Glasgow’s depth and resilience under pressure.

The win extends Glasgow’s unbeaten start to the new season and underlines their credentials as genuine contenders, even if this was not the polished display their supporters might have hoped for on the road.

Glasgow return home next to face Pau in their upcoming Champions Cup fixture, while Sale face a daunting trip to Leinster in mid-December.
