Justin Gaethje became the undisputed UFC lightweight champion at UFC White House on Sunday, stopping the previously unbeaten Ilia Topuria by fourth-round knockout to unify the interim and full titles — then walked away with an additional $825,000 in bonus money on top of his fight purse.

For the high-profile White House event, the UFC doubled down on its bonus structure, raising the Fight of the Night award from the standard $100,000 to $400,000 and the Performance of the Night bonus from $100,000 to $425,000. Gaethje claimed both, making him the sole recipient of $825,000 in extra earnings. Topuria, as the other half of the Fight of the Night, received a $400,000 consolation bonus.

The win was the culmination of a long road for Gaethje, who had to navigate the interim title route before finally getting his shot at Topuria’s undisputed belt. His performance — described by the promotion as the best of his career — saw him systematically dismantle one of the sport’s most hyped undefeated prospects.

The other Performance of the Night bonus went to Ciryl Gane, who stopped former two-division champion Alex Pereira in the second round to claim the interim heavyweight title for a second time. Pereira had been attempting to become the first UFC fighter ever to hold titles in three weight classes; Gane denied him that piece of history and pocketed $425,000 for the finish.

All seven bouts on the card ended by knockout, triggering a mandatory $25,000 finish bonus for each of the remaining winners: Sean O’Malley, Josh Hokit, Mauricio Ruffy, Bo Nickal, and Diego Lopes.

The haul adds another chapter to Gaethje’s remarkable bonus record. He has now earned Fight of the Night honours 11 times and Performance of the Night six times — 17 bonuses across just 16 UFC appearances, a rate unmatched in the promotion’s history.
