Fiorot confirms UFC has promised flyweight title shot to Grasso fight winner at Noche UFC 4

Manon Fiorot has revealed that the UFC has explicitly promised a women’s flyweight title shot to the winner of her fight against former champion Alexa Grasso at Noche UFC 4 on September 12 in Glendale, Arizona. The announcement elevates what was already a marquee matchup into a de facto number-one contender bout for the vacant 125-pound championship.

“We know now that it’s a very, very important fight for the next of the division, so win, win, win, definitely,” Fiorot said. “The UFC clearly states that the winner gets the title shot.”

The French flyweight arrives on the back of a victory over Jasmine Jasudavicius, while Grasso — who held the flyweight title before losing it — most recently finished Maycee Barber. Fiorot had previously challenged Valentina Shevchenko for the championship but came up short, making this her clearest route yet to a second crack at the belt.

The title itself is currently vacant after Shevchenko was forced to relinquish it due to an injury requiring an extended recovery. Natalia Silva and Cong Wang are scheduled to meet at UFC 332 to crown a new champion, meaning the Fiorot-Grasso winner will be positioned to challenge whoever emerges from that contest.

Fiorot acknowledged the weight of the occasion, suggesting the pressure sharpens rather than unsettles her — a mindset that will be tested against a former champion in Grasso, who has her own unfinished business at the top of the division.
