Filipe Luis appointed AS Monaco head coach until 2028 after Flamengo
AS Monaco officially announced on Monday the appointment of Filipe Luis as head coach, replacing Sébastien Pocognoli. The Brazilian tactician, who previously managed Flamengo, has signed until June 2028.

A former Brazilian international defender turned coach, Filipe Luis arrives on the Rock bolstered by his spell in charge of Flamengo, which he managed between 2024 and 2026. He arrives at Monaco accompanied by an expanded staff: Ivan Palanco and Antony Santiago as assistants, Diogo Linhares as fitness coach, and Jyri Nieminen as goalkeeper coach.
Filipe Luis will lead his first training session with ASM on Wednesday morning.
