Ferrari gives Leclerc a white Monaco-flag race suit for his home grand prix
Ferrari has revealed a special near-all-white race suit for Charles Leclerc at the Monaco Grand Prix, replacing the team's traditional red with a design featuring red accents and stripes that echo the Monégasque flag.
Ferrari has unveiled a bespoke race suit for Charles Leclerc ahead of his home Monaco Grand Prix, ditching the team’s signature red in favour of an almost entirely white design with red accents and side stripes drawn from the Monaco flag. The suit was revealed through Ferrari’s official Formula 1 social media channels ahead of the Monte Carlo race weekend running from 5–7 June.
“To race at home is very, very special,” Leclerc said in the accompanying video. “Those are the streets that I’ve been taking my bus since I was a kid, and there’s just something about Monaco. On the track, whichever corner I am in, I’ve got a story of my childhood or from when I started racing. There’s a bit of a personal story everywhere around the track, and that’s why it makes it so special for me.”
Fans responded quickly online, with many calling for Ferrari to extend the theme to a matching livery on the SF26. “Looks better than the actual suit, now we pray for the car,” one Reddit user wrote, while another added: “Now just please have a car livery to match!”
The white colour scheme also drew comparisons to Leclerc’s early career. Several supporters noted the resemblance to the suit he wore during his rookie 2018 season with Sauber — the team that later rebranded as Alfa Romeo — before he joined Ferrari in 2019. “It looks like his old Sauber racesuit tbh,” one fan commented.
The reveal has also sparked speculation about whether team-mate Lewis Hamilton might receive a similar one-off design for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone later in the season, with fans already asking the question on social media.
