Thomas Tuchel’s England squad have arrived at their World Cup base in Kansas ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup opener against Croatia in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday, June 17.

England face Croatia in Group L, a rematch of their memorable Nations League and tournament encounters in recent years. After the Dallas fixture, Tuchel’s side travel to Boston, Massachusetts, to meet Ghana on June 23, before wrapping up the group stage against Panama in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on June 27.

The squad touched down in Kansas on Saturday to complete their final preparations before the tournament begins in earnest. England will be looking to build on their run to the Euro 2024 final as they target a first World Cup triumph since 1966.

For supporters feeling nostalgic ahead of the tournament, the England 1993 Home Shirt — worn by Paul Gascoigne, Alan Shearer, and David Platt during that year’s World Cup qualifying campaign — remains one of the most recognisable retro kits in the country’s history. England wore the shirt during qualifiers for the 1994 tournament in the USA, a competition they ultimately missed out on.

The shirt features a crisp white design with a subtle Three Lions pattern across the front, a navy polo-style collar with red detailing, and the traditional team badge.

For those seeking the latest kit, Nike recently launched a retro-inspired England Energy Top priced at £69.99, featuring oversized branding and an all-over graphic print drawn from 1990s design cues. The official England 2026 home and away strips are also available for supporters ahead of the tournament.
