Désiré Doué turned Lucas Hernandez into a guinea pig during a France training session, filmed and broadcast by the French Football Federation as part of the 2026 World Cup preparations.

The Paris Saint-Germain player demonstrated to his teammate Michael Olise a slick double-touch move woven into a nutmeg, a technique described as nearly unstoppable when executed perfectly. Hernandez served as the test defender, finding himself outmatched by the technical skill of the PSG player.

The scene illustrates the obvious chemistry that has developed between Olise and Doué within the France squad. The two attackers, who faced each other this season in the Champions League group stage and then in the semi-final — the Bavarian in Bayern Munich colours, the Parisian in PSG colours — share a common passion for technical work in training.

The overall atmosphere in the squad is described as excellent by William Saliba. “The atmosphere is great, there’s no better atmosphere anywhere else than here. We’re having a laugh, the vibe is good,” the Arsenal defender said, cited by the French Football Federation.

Olise, apparently convinced by Doué’s lesson, could put the new dribble to the test as early as Monday night against Iraq, during France’s second match in the 2026 World Cup.
