Daniel Marcos signs with PFL just three days after departing the UFC
Peruvian bantamweight Daniel Marcos has signed with the Professional Fighters League just three days after leaving the UFC, where he compiled a 5-1 record with one no contest across seven bouts. The 33-year-old carries a professional record of 18-1-0 (1 NC) into his new chapter.
Daniel Marcos has signed with the Professional Fighters League, the 33-year-old Peruvian bantamweight announced on social media, just three days after parting ways with the UFC. No date or opponent has yet been confirmed for his PFL debut.
Marcos’ exit from the UFC raised eyebrows given his record inside the octagon. He earned his contract by defeating Brandon Lewis at Dana White’s Contender Series in 2022 and went on to post a 5-1 record across seven UFC appearances, with one no contest also on his ledger.
His only defeat in that stretch came against Montel Jackson in 2025, while a bout against Aoriqileng was ruled a no contest. Marcos bookended his UFC tenure with a second-round submission victory over Miles Johns, leaving the promotion with an overall professional record of 18-1 with one no contest.
Despite that strong showing, the UFC did not renew his deal once it expired — a decision that has quickly worked in PFL’s favour. The league now adds a proven, high-finishing bantamweight to its roster as it looks to build out its 135-pound division.
