Dana White’s Contender Series will kick off its tenth season on 11 August, with five fights scheduled for the opening card and a total of 10 Tuesday-night episodes across the run. The UFC has not yet announced specific matchups for the debut card, though a full lineup is expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

First launched in 2017, the series gives emerging fighters across all weight classes the chance to earn a UFC contract at the end of each episode. Over nine seasons it has developed into one of the sport’s most reliable pipelines for talent, producing four fighters who went on to win UFC titles: Sean O’Malley, Jamahal Hill, Jack Della Maddalena, and Carlos Ulberg.

The alumni list extends well beyond champions. Kevin Holland, Caio Borralho, Brendan Allen, Carlos Prates, Mauricio Ruffy, and Joe Pyfer are among the notable names who passed through the show before establishing themselves on the main roster, underlining the series’ track record as a genuine proving ground rather than a novelty format.

Season 10 marks a platform shift for the show, which moves as part of the UFC’s broader broadcast arrangement. With no confirmed bouts yet, attention will turn to which weight classes and prospects are featured when the card is finalised — a moment that typically generates significant discussion among fans tracking the next generation of UFC talent.
