Khamzat Chimaev and Colby Covington will finally settle their long-running feud at RAF Abu Dhabi on November 14, with Chimaev challenging Covington for the RAF cruiserweight crossover championship at Etihad Arena.
Khamzat Chimaev will challenge Colby Covington for the RAF cruiserweight crossover championship at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on November 14, Real American Freestyle announced on Wednesday. The bout brings a feud that stretches back to Covington’s time in the UFC to its first competitive resolution.
Covington claimed the inaugural RAF cruiserweight crossover title by defeating Arman Tsarukyan at RAF 11. He then defended the belt against Belal Muhammad in the co-main event of RAF 13. Chimaev, a former UFC middleweight champion, called out Covington following his own RAF victory over Gilbert Burns, setting the stage for the November showdown.
The card will also feature Arman Tsarukyan, Henry Cejudo, Jordan Burroughs, Kyle Snyder, and Abdulrashid Sadulaev, though their respective opponents have yet to be announced.
RAF Abu Dhabi marks the launch of a five-year partnership between Real American Freestyle, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and the UAE Wrestling Federation.
