Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes’ 20-year-old Formula 1 championship leader, traded the cockpit for the passenger seat in a guest appearance on Amelia Dimoldenberg’s YouTube series Passenger Princess, produced in collaboration with F1 as part of the sport’s drive to reach younger and more diverse audiences. The show’s second season places current drivers in the role of driving instructor, tasking them with teaching the British comedian and presenter how to drive.

Antonelli wasted no time making an impression. Before Dimoldenberg had settled in, he was already throwing the Mercedes SUV from side to side to warm up the tyres — prompting her to snap: “Stop it. Stop, Kimi. This is not acceptable. I knew you were young, but I didn’t know you would be this immature.”

The Italian then attempted doughnuts in the SUV, leaving Dimoldenberg dizzy and Antonelli himself conceding the execution fell short. “That was not a doughnut,” he admitted. “You would slide a lot more.”

When the roles reversed and Dimoldenberg took the wheel, her own doughnut attempt nearly ended in the gravel. Antonelli, now in the instructor’s seat, assessed her performance with characteristic bluntness — awarding her a 5.5 out of 10. “So, this is actually my last lesson,” Dimoldenberg said before the attempt. “I feel like doughnuts is when you’re a pro, and you can just do what you want.”

Beyond the deadpan exchanges, Antonelli opened up about his cheat-day diet, beginning go-karting at the age of five, his pre-race ritual, and how he spends his time away from the track.

The episode surpassed one million views and accumulated more than 31,000 likes at the time of publication. Fan reactions leaned into Antonelli’s dry wit, with one commenter writing: “Kimi HAS to be the first driver to ragebait Amelia,” and another noting: “He got the sassiness of George and sarcasm of Max, truly their son.”
