The Vodacom Bulls have made four changes to their starting XV for Saturday’s URC quarter-final against Munster at Loftus Versfeld, with Johan Ackermann’s side targeting a fifth consecutive semi-final appearance. Kurt-Lee Arendse returns on the wing in place of Devon Williams, while Stravino Jacobs is promoted from the bench to start ahead of Sergeal Petersen.

Willie le Roux continues at fullback, with Canan Moodie and Harold Vorster retained in midfield. Embrose Papier and Handré Pollard keep their half-back roles, providing continuity in the most influential positions on the pitch.

The Bulls arrive into the knockout stage in strong form, having lost just once in their last ten URC matches. They have reached the last eight in every season since joining the competition and have won all four of their previous home quarter-finals — a record that will not be lost on Ackermann as he prepares his squad.

Munster bring considerable playoff experience to Pretoria but have shown inconsistent form away from home this season. The Bulls hold a narrow 3-2 edge in previous meetings between the two sides, adding a competitive edge to what is already a high-stakes fixture.

For the Bulls, consistent qualification has been the story of their URC tenure; converting that into silverware remains the ambition that has so far eluded them. A home quarter-final against a beatable but dangerous Munster side represents one of their cleaner routes to the final four.
