BKFC president Feldman erupts at fighter who nearly shoved opponent off stage at weigh-ins
BKFC president David Feldman personally intervened and berated fighter Pat Sullivan as a 'f*cking punk' after Sullivan shoved opponent Ruben Arroyo and nearly sent him off the stage during the Liberty Brawl ceremonial weigh-ins on Thursday.
BKFC president David Feldman stepped in to personally confront fighter Pat Sullivan after Sullivan shoved opponent Ruben Arroyo hard enough to nearly knock him off the stage during the Liberty Brawl ceremonial weigh-ins on Thursday. Feldman pushed Sullivan backwards and unleashed a furious verbal rebuke in front of the assembled media.
The incident began during what appeared to be a routine staredown between Sullivan and the four-time BKFC veteran Arroyo. After photographers asked the fighters to face forward, the two began jockeying for position. Arroyo ducked under Sullivan’s arm to pose for the cameras, and the Philadelphia native responded by shoving him sharply — sending Arroyo stumbling toward the edge of the stage before security intervened.
Feldman was among those who moved in immediately, and he made his feelings unmistakably clear. “What the fck would you do that for?” he shouted at Sullivan. “What the fck’s your problem? Fcking punk. Fcking jerkoff.”
Sullivan appeared unfazed, smiling throughout the dressing-down, but the exchange left little doubt about where he stands with BKFC’s top executive heading into fight night.
The Liberty Brawl card had already generated friction before Thursday’s weigh-ins. Former BKFC champion Mike Richman and his opponent Johnny Garbarino had to be separated multiple times during the pre-fight press conference on Wednesday, adding to the event’s combustible atmosphere.
The remainder of Thursday’s weigh-ins passed without further incident.
