Arsenal eye Wan-Bissaka as White replacement while Spurs table £85m Kroupi bid
Arsenal are monitoring Aaron Wan-Bissaka as a potential backup to Jurrien Timber following Ben White's uncertain future, while Tottenham are reportedly willing to pay £85m for Bournemouth winger Eli Junior Kroupi as they continue a summer overhaul after finishing 17th.
Arsenal are scouting Aaron Wan-Bissaka as a possible replacement for Ben White, whose knee injury has cast doubt over his future at the Emirates Stadium, according to reports circulating on Tuesday, 7 July. The former Manchester United right-back is seen as a viable option to provide cover behind Jurrien Timber as the Gunners prepare to defend their Premier League title in 2026/27.
White has fallen behind Timber in the pecking order at Arsenal, and while a knee problem could complicate any potential exit, the club’s board are understood to be actively assessing the market. Wan-Bissaka’s Premier League experience makes him an attractive low-risk option for a squad rotation role.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are reportedly ready to spend £85m to sign Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, according to Caught Offside. The 17th-placed finish Spurs endured last season has prompted an aggressive summer rebuild, with the club already committing £237m to Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, and adding Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka on free transfers. Kroupi, who impressed throughout a standout Premier League campaign at the Vitality Stadium, is said to be their next priority target.
Elsewhere, Marcus Rashford’s transfer prospects this summer may hinge on his performance for England at the World Cup. The Manchester United forward, who spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Barcelona, is set to return to Old Trafford after the La Liga club opted to sign Anthony Gordon in a £70m deal instead of making his move permanent.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Rashford’s chances of securing a move away from United could be significantly affected by whether he starts England’s quarter-final against Norway. A strong showing in Miami is expected to attract suitors, while a place on the bench could see interest cool considerably. United manager Michael Carrick is reported to be open to reintegrating the 28-year-old into his first-team plans if no transfer materialises.
