Manchester United are monitoring Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye as a potential summer signing, with the Manchester Evening News reporting the 26-year-old has been added to the club’s transfer shortlist as they seek left-wing reinforcements ahead of their return to Champions League football.

The link carries an intriguing subplot: United manager Ruben Amorim had already gone on record with his admiration for Ndiaye before the two clubs met at Old Trafford last November. “Ndiaye is an amazing player,” Amorim said at the time, also praising Jack Grealish as he assessed an Everton side he described as “a more complete team.” Moyes’ side went on to win that game 1-0 despite finishing with ten men after Idrissa Gana Gueye was dismissed for slapping Michael Keane.

Ndiaye ended the season with six Premier League goals and three assists, operating across both flanks and as a number ten. With three years remaining on his Everton contract, he is considered a more affordable option than some of United’s other reported targets. The Senegal international is set to feature in a friendly against Saudi Arabia ahead of the 2026 World Cup, and a strong tournament showing could drive his valuation upward.

United have also registered interest in RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, though Leipzig have set an £86 million asking price for the 19-year-old Ivory Coast international — a figure that has attracted Liverpool as the frontrunners for his signature. Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers is another name on United’s radar, with figures of around £80 million mentioned and several top-six clubs tracking his situation as Villa reportedly consider cashing in.

Separately, United are closing in on their first confirmed signing of the summer. A deal has been struck with Atalanta for Brazilian midfielder Ederson, with the 26-year-old set to join for an initial £35 million. The move is designed to address the midfield void left by Casemiro’s departure, though Ederson’s inclusion in Brazil’s World Cup squad means the club is working to revised timelines to complete the transfer.
