Adeshina and Campos make weight as PFL Nigeria sets two tournament brackets
PFL Africa's lightweight and bantamweight tournaments are set after all 17 fighters cleared the scales in Nigeria. Wasi Adeshina, riding a six-fight win streak, headlines against Ignacio Campos in a featherweight main event on Saturday.
All 17 fighters cleared the scales at Friday’s weigh-in for PFL Nigeria, locking in the opening rounds of the promotion’s lightweight and bantamweight tournaments ahead of Saturday’s card.
Headlining the event is a featherweight showcase between Wasi Adeshina and Ignacio Campos. Adeshina, known as “The Nigerian Jaguar,” weighed in at 144.8 pounds and enters the fight on a six-fight winning streak, including three consecutive victories inside the PFL. The 10-3 fighter will be competing in front of a home crowd. Campos, who stepped on the scale at 145.8 pounds, carries a 7-2 record and is 1-1 in the promotion, his only PFL win coming against Mathys Duragrin earlier this year. He has split his last four outings.
Beyond the main event, the 16 tournament fighters and one bantamweight alternate — Asiashu Tshitamba — all made weight without issue, clearing the way for a full card.
