Lisa Neumann has joined Leicester Tigers on a deal for the 2026/27 Premiership Women’s Rugby season, ending months of uncertainty over the Wales wing’s club future following her departure from Harlequins.

The 32-year-old spent two seasons at the Twickenham Stoop, scoring six tries in her first campaign under Ross Chisholm before making just one appearance last term. Much of her 2024/25 game time came in the Celtic Challenge with Brython Thunder rather than in the PWR itself.

Neumann is the latest in a significant recruitment drive by a Leicester side that finished bottom of the PWR last season. The club has now signed seven internationally capped players this summer, including Wales teammate Abbie Fleming and Wallaroos trio Tabua Tuinakaubadra, Caitlyn Halse and Ashley Fernandez.

“I’m really excited to be joining Tigers this season,” Neumann said. “This team is building something exciting, so I’m really looking forward to being a part of that. I feel this is an environment where I can grow, be supported and hopefully add some value. It’s a fun new chapter for me, and I can’t wait to meet the girls and enjoy my rugby here.”

Fraser Goatcher, Leicester’s Director of Women’s Rugby, welcomed the signing. “Lisa’s athletic ability matched with her international and PWR experience is going to be a hugely positive addition to our squad, on and off the pitch. We are very excited to see what she can do in a Tigers shirt.”

Despite her limited club minutes last season, Neumann has retained her international standing and has been included in Sean Lynn’s wider Wales squad for the WXV Global Series. Wales host the USA Women’s Eagles and Springbok Women in September before travelling to Japan for two Tests against the Sakura Fifteen in October.

Leicester open their 2026/27 PWR campaign away to defending champions Saracens on Sunday 22 November.
