USA Women's Eagles name co-captains as WXV Global Series squad targets world-class standards

Georgie Perris-Redding and Erica Jarrell-Searcy have been named co-captains of the USA Women’s Eagles for the WXV Global Series, with head coach Jack Hanratty naming a 36-player squad for fixtures spanning Europe and home soil in September and October.

The Eagles will first travel to face Ireland and Wales before hosting Italy and England’s Red Roses in back-to-back home tests. The campaign represents a significant staging post in Hanratty’s tenure, now nine months into the current cycle.

“The Global XV is exactly what we want to challenge ourselves against top teams,” Hanratty said. “Although we have been excited for athletes to express themselves on the field, we now want to hold ourselves to world-class standards both on and off the field.”

A notable feature of the squad is the continued integration between the 15-a-side programme and the Women’s Sevens set-up, overseen by Olympic bronze medal-winning head coach Emilie Bydwell. Cass Bargell and Erica Coulibaly, who both featured at Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, have since appeared in HSBC SVNS Series competition, while Tahna Wilfley and Kayla Canett arrive as cross-programme additions. Hanratty highlighted the pair as “welcomed additions” building on momentum from the Pacific Four Series and a tour of South Africa.

Four players — Nina Mason, Lauryn Carlton, Malia Isaacs and Kennedy Feasby — earn their places following strong performances for the USA Falcons against Brazil, adding depth and competition to a squad that also includes established figures such as Alev Kelter, Ashley Cowdrey and Hann Humphreys.
