Ten Years After PSG, Lavezzi Reappears and His Physical Transformation Raises Questions
Spotted at the Inter Milan vs. Napoli Serie A clash alongside former PSG teammate Jérémy Ménez, 41-year-old Ezequiel Lavezzi sparked numerous reactions on social media due to his noticeably different appearance compared to his Paris years.
Ezequiel Lavezzi made a notable appearance at the Serie A showdown between Inter Milan and Napoli (3-2, after extra time), reunited with his former PSG teammate Jérémy Ménez. The Argentine, 41, immediately drew comments on social media due to his visible physical transformation.
“El Pocho” wore sunglasses and loose-fitting trousers at the match. Compared to his athletic physique during his PSG years (2012-2016), the former winger now displays a noticeably fuller face and has gained weight. On X, many users noted these changes, with some evoking excessive alcohol consumption and others pointing to visible signs on his face.
Lavezzi left Paris in 2016 to join Hebei China Fortune, a club that offered him one of the highest salaries in world football at the time. After the end of his professional career, the Argentine international (51 caps) faced mental health difficulties, according to information reported at the time.
The reappearance of the former PSG number 22 alongside Ménez — the two men appeared happy to be reunited — thus fueled both nostalgia for the QSI era and questions about the Argentine’s state of health, ten years after his departure from the French capital.
