Harry Kane arrives at England’s World Cup quarter-final against Norway on Saturday as the tournament’s standout striker, having scored six goals and registered one assist to put himself at the front of the Golden Boot race. The 32-year-old Bayern Munich forward is the focal point of Thomas Tuchel’s side as they seek a place in the semi-finals.

Net worth and earnings

Kane’s financial standing matches his status on the pitch. His net worth is estimated at around £110 million, placing him tenth on the list of the United Kingdom’s wealthiest sportspeople. A significant portion of that wealth was built during his years at Tottenham Hotspur before his August 2023 move to Bayern Munich, where a four-year contract pays him a reported base salary of roughly £24 million per year.

Off the pitch, Kane holds a lifetime global endorsement deal with Skechers following his departure from Nike. He also has a stake in HK28, a company described as operating across sport, business, entertainment and charity sectors, with reported assets of £10.2 million. A separate company manages his image rights.

Childhood sweetheart and family life

Kane’s personal life has been a constant amid the upheaval of elite football. He and Kate Goodland first met at Larkswood Primary School in east London and later attended Chingford Foundation School in Waltham Forest together. Kane has spoken openly about how much he values having found his partner before fame arrived.

“If I was single now and meeting people, you’d never know if they were with you for the right reasons,” he told the Evening Standard. “Is it the money? You’d never really know. So I’m lucky that I’ve got a childhood sweetheart.”

Kane proposed during a holiday in the Bahamas in 2017, and the couple married in June 2019 at a private ceremony whose location they have never publicly disclosed. They share four children: Ivy Jane, Vivienne Jane, Louis Harry and Henry Edward.

Life in Bavaria

When Kane joined Bayern Munich in August 2023, he initially relocated to Germany alone while arrangements were made for his family. Kate and the children later joined him in Bavaria, where the family settled into a property reported to be worth around £30 million.

Now 32 and captaining both club and country, Kane is widely regarded as England’s greatest-ever goalscorer and a player whose best football may still be ahead of him — a thought that will do little to comfort Norway ahead of Saturday’s quarter-final.
