AS Roma crushed Sassuolo 3-0 on Saturday in Matchday 11 of Serie A, securing an eighth win in eleven matches and closing to within one point of Lazio at the top of the table.

The Romans, still unbeaten in the league this season with eight victories and three draws, opened the scoring through Mario Hermoso in the 27th minute. After the break, an own goal from Walukiewicz and a goal from Mora (58’) definitively ended any resistance from Sassuolo.

With this victory, Roma under Gian Piero Gasperini sit one point behind Lazio, who travel to Naples on Sunday. Inter and Como, currently two and three points adrift of the Giallorossi, also face off this weekend, which could shake up the top of the standings.
