Raphinha extends Barcelona contract until 2030 despite Saudi offer
With 11 goals and 3 assists in just 7 matches this season, Raphinha is set to sign a new contract with FC Barcelona until June 2030, according to sporting director Deco.
Raphinha will extend his contract with FC Barcelona until June 2030. The club’s sporting director, Deco, confirmed the agreement: “We have reached a principle agreement, it will be signed soon.”
The Brazilian international is enjoying the best start to a season of his Barcelona career, with 11 goals and 3 assists in just 7 matches. These figures erase the doubts that arose from a previous season disrupted by injuries.
However, Barcelona was not alone in the race. In an interview with REC1, the 29-year-old striker revealed he had received a “colossal” offer from Saudi Arabia, which he decided to turn down. His preference for Catalonia ultimately shaped the negotiations.
Arriving at Barcelona in 2022 from Leeds, Raphinha has made 184 appearances in the blaugrana shirt, scoring 86 goals and providing 62 assists. His trophy haul with the club includes three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups.
With this extension, Barcelona secures one of its most decisive players for the next five years, as the club seeks to consolidate its sporting project in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
