Pushed out of Real Madrid, Camavinga in Manchester City's sights
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Eduardo Camavinga has been offered to Manchester City, which has already begun negotiations with the 23-year-old French midfielder. José Mourinho, back on the Real Madrid bench, has reportedly given the green light for his departure.
Eduardo Camavinga could leave Real Madrid this summer, with Manchester City having opened negotiations with the 23-year-old French international midfielder, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
Back at the helm of the Madrid club, José Mourinho has reportedly given the go-ahead for the former Rennes player to depart, having never managed to establish himself permanently in the Merengue midfield. While PSG is also monitoring his situation, it is Manchester City that appears to be furthest along in the matter: Marca reports that the Sky Blues have already opened direct discussions with the player after he was offered to them.
This transfer would come at a difficult personal moment for Camavinga. While he was regularly called up to the France squad, Didier Deschamps left him out of the 2026 World Cup list, preferring Adrien Rabiot, Aurélien Tchouameni, Manu Koné, N’Golo Kanté and Warren Zaïre-Emery.
A move to the Premier League would therefore represent a double opportunity for the midfielder: regain playing time at a top club and revive his international prospects ahead of the World Cup.
