Luis Enrique has selected 24 players to launch Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League campaign against Slovan Bratislava this Wednesday evening at Parc des Princes. The Parisian club, defending champions in the competition, begin this league phase after a difficult start to Ligue 1, marked by two draws and a defeat.

The main novelty in the squad is the call-up of Adam Mouak. The 17-year-old Moroccan goalkeeper, usually fielded with PSG’s U19 side, is called up for the very first time by the Spanish coach. A notable promotion for a player who had never before featured in a professional squad under Luis Enrique’s orders.

Two returns also bolster the group. Lucas Digne, left out of the trip to Monaco last weekend, reclaims his place. Nuno Mendes, returning from three Ligue 1 suspension matches, rejoins the squad at just the right time for this European debut.

Opposing them, Slovan Bratislava arrives at Parc des Princes under the guidance of Yaya Touré, the former star of FC Barcelona and Manchester City turned coach. The Slovak club is also playing its first match of the league phase in this edition of the UEFA Champions League.
