Alexandre Pantoja and Joshua Van both hit 125 pounds at the UFC 331 weigh-ins in Los Angeles, clearing the way for their flyweight championship rematch. All 24 fighters on the 12-bout card made weight without incident.
Alexandre Pantoja and Joshua Van both came in at exactly 125 pounds at Friday’s UFC 331 weigh-ins in Los Angeles, officially setting their flyweight title rematch as the main event of the promotion’s latest numbered card.
The five-round championship fight marks Pantoja’s first outing since losing the belt, ending an eight-fight win streak that had defined one of flyweight’s most dominant recent reigns. The Brazilian, known as “The Cannibal,” originally captured the title from Brandon Moreno in 2023 and successfully defended it four times before an arm injury sidelined him ahead of his defeat.
The rest of the 12-fight card passed through the scales without drama. All 24 fighters made weight, setting up a clean run to Saturday’s event at the Kia Forum.
Among the other notable bouts on the card, lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan (156) faces the rising Mauricio Ruffy (155), while Bellator veteran Patricio Freire (145.5) takes on Doo Ho Choi (146) in a featherweight clash. Former NCAA wrestling champion Gable Steveson (240) also weighed in for his UFC appearance against Sean Sharaf (241).
