Olise scores and named man of the match as Bayern ready to offer him club's biggest salary

Michael Olise was once again instrumental in Bayern Munich’s 5-1 victory over Stuttgart on Friday evening in the opening day of Bundesliga action. Superbly set up in the box by Joshua Kimmich, the French international finished with his left foot in the 55th minute to restore Bayern’s advantage (2-1), before a potential second goal was ruled out for offside (63rd).

It is the second consecutive time Olise has been named man of the match, following his decisive performance the previous week in the German Super Cup against Borussia Dortmund (2-1), where he had also scored and provided an assist. The former Crystal Palace winger is confirming his rapid adaptation to the demands of the German champions.

These repeated performances strengthen Bayern’s desire to extend his contract, which currently runs until June 2029. According to L’Équipe, the Bavarian club would be prepared to offer him the highest salary in the squad, ahead of Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala, who each earn approximately 2.1 million euros per month.

This summer, Olise reportedly wanted to join Real Madrid, but his club firmly refused any departure. The contract extension is now shaping up as one of Bayern Munich’s top priorities, as the club intends to build its project around the 22-year-old Frenchman.
