Olise demands release clause at Bayern as Liverpool loan star Nallo returns injured
Michael Olise has reportedly asked Bayern Munich to insert a release clause into a new contract, reviving speculation over a future Liverpool move. Separately, Liverpool youngster Amara Nallo has had his HJK Helsinki loan cut short after picking up an injury.
Michael Olise has reportedly demanded a release clause be included in any new contract with Bayern Munich, according to Spanish outlet Sport, in a development that keeps the French winger’s name in the frame for a future Liverpool move. Meanwhile, 19-year-old defender Amara Nallo has returned to Anfield after his loan spell at Finnish side HJK Helsinki was terminated due to injury.
Olise’s clause demand raises eyebrows at Bayern
Olise, who joined Bayern from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024, is currently contracted at the Allianz Arena until 2029. The Bundesliga club are reportedly willing to extend that deal to 2032, but the former Palace winger has made the inclusion of a release clause a condition of signing any extension.
German outlet BILD reports that Bayern are growing uneasy about Olise’s eagerness to secure the clause, with the added exit provision said to be a concern for figures within the club. Liverpool had been linked with Olise during the summer window but ultimately moved for Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz to strengthen their wide options.
The nature of the specific circumstances under which the clause would allow Olise to leave has not been disclosed by either Sport or BILD, but the reports suggest the situation is being monitored closely inside Bayern.
Nallo’s loan cut short by injury
Amara Nallo’s stint in Finland has come to a premature end after Liverpool and HJK Helsinki agreed to terminate the arrangement. The 19-year-old centre-back joined the Finnish club in July on loan until the end of the Veikkausliiga season in November, but a persistent injury ruled him out for the entirety of September and made a return to fitness before the campaign’s conclusion unrealistic.
HJK confirmed the news in an official statement: “Amara Nallo’s loan spell at HJK has ended due to an injury. After receiving his work permit, the 19-year-old centre-back managed to play two Veikkausliiga matches in August, as well as an away game against Motherwell in the Conference League qualifiers. An injury kept Nallo on the sidelines for all of September.”
Nallo, a former West Ham United academy product who captained Liverpool’s under-21 side, has made three senior appearances for the Reds to date. He will now undergo rehabilitation at Anfield.
