Norris and Rossi unite at Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2026
Reigning F1 champion Lando Norris will appear alongside nine-time motorcycle world champion Valentino Rossi at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 11-12 July 2026, with both set for joint balcony appearances at Goodwood House.
Reigning Formula 1 champion Lando Norris will share the stage with MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, running from 9 to 12 July at the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex. The pair will attend on the Friday and Saturday of the event weekend under the banner of their mutual sponsor, Monster Energy.
Fans at the estate will be able to see both champions during a ‘Balcony Moment’ at Goodwood House scheduled for Friday afternoon. Norris will then take centre stage again on Saturday for a second balcony appearance, this one specifically marking his 2025 F1 championship title. For Norris, the Goodwood visit follows his home race at the British Grand Prix.
“Goodwood is always mega, it’s a proper celebration of motorsport,” Norris said. “There’s an awesome atmosphere, so many fans, and sharing it with a legend like Valentino just makes it even cooler.”
Norris has long been open about his admiration for Rossi, having worn Rossi-inspired helmet designs throughout his career. The Goodwood appearance will mark the first time the two champions have formally shared a public platform together.
Rossi echoed the sentiment: “Goodwood is something really special, a true celebration of motorsport in every form. Being at Festival of Speed, seeing so many passionate fans, and sharing the hill with incredible athletes like Lando Norris and John McGuinness makes it an unforgettable experience.”
The Duke of Richmond CBE DL, who hosts the annual event, called the pairing a landmark moment. “Norris and Rossi. Together at Goodwood. It is without doubt a moment that will go down in Festival of Speed history,” he said, adding that Monster Energy’s role in bringing the two world champions together was central to making it happen.
