All 24 fighters on the UFC Vegas 118 card cleared the scales Friday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, setting up Saturday’s 12-fight card headlined by former welterweight champion Belal Muhammad against Gabriel Bonfim.
Muhammad and Bonfim both weighed in at or below the 171-pound limit for their non-title welterweight main event. Muhammad enters the fight on a two-fight losing skid and currently sits at No. 7 in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings at welterweight, while Bonfim — ranked No. 15 — is looking to climb the division with a marquee victory.
In the co-main event, middleweights Brendan Allen and Edmen Shahbazyan both came in under the 186-pound catchweight limit for their non-title bout.
The main card features five bouts in total, with featherweights Fares Ziam and Tom Nolan, Bryce Mitchell against Santiago Luna, and a heavyweight clash between Iwo Baraniewski and Junior Tafa rounding out the lineup.
The preliminary card opens with a 130-pound catchweight contest between Matt Schnell and Alessandro Costa, followed by seven further bouts including Jordan Leavitt vs. Joanderson Brito and a women’s strawweight matchup between Ketlen Souza and Ariane Carnelossi.
