Leicester Tigers hit three-year season ticket high as Parling's revival takes hold
Leicester Tigers have sold 10,400 season tickets for the 2026/27 Premiership campaign — their highest figure in three years — as optimism builds following Geoff Parling's encouraging debut season in charge.
Leicester Tigers have sold 10,400 season tickets for the 2026/27 campaign, the club’s highest total in three years, with sales opening just over a fortnight before their first competitive home fixture against Newcastle in the PREM Rugby Cup.
The milestone reflects a significant upturn in supporter confidence after Geoff Parling’s first season at the helm. Leicester won the PREM Rugby Cup in March and pushed through to the Premiership play-off semi-finals before falling to East Midlands rivals Northampton. Season tickets are priced from £199 for adults and £50 for under-18s.
The arrival of new playing and coaching talent has clearly resonated with supporters. Wales back-row Aaron Wainwright, recruited from Dragons, has been singled out as among the most impressive of the new signings, and the fanbase will be hoping the club can go one step further in the play-offs this season.
Elsewhere in the Premiership, the season ticket picture is equally buoyant. Northampton Saints — who claimed their second league title in three years with a 26-17 victory over Exeter Chiefs at Allianz Stadium — have already sold out their allocation of 9,000 season tickets, representing 58 per cent of Franklin’s Gardens’ 15,153 capacity.
Bath, meanwhile, have reached their own ceiling of 7,000 season ticket holders, with a further 2,000 supporters on a waiting list that carries a £25 fee. The club’s capacity at The Rec currently stands at 14,509, and the ground is sold out for the majority of matches. That situation is unlikely to ease until a planned redevelopment transforms the venue into an 18,000-capacity stadium.
At Newcastle, the first full season under Red Bull ownership produced an attendance increase of 2,424, a trend the club says has fed through into improved season ticket sales — though the Falcons and Sale Sharks have both chosen not to release specific figures at this stage.
