Leclerc's holiday photos and Instagram post fuel first-child rumours
Charles Leclerc and his wife Alexandra are holidaying in Sardinia, where recent yacht photos showing an apparent baby bump have intensified speculation the Ferrari driver is expecting his first child. His brother Arthur and a telling Instagram soundtrack have added to the intrigue.
Charles Leclerc and his wife Alexandra have fuelled widespread speculation that they are expecting their first child, after photographs from a Sardinia yacht holiday showed Alexandra appearing to display a baby bump.
The couple have not made any official announcement, but several details have combined to stoke the rumours. Leclerc’s brother Arthur shared photos of Alexandra cradling the bump, while Charles himself used a soundtrack titled New Dad on a recent Instagram post.
Charles and Alexandra married earlier this year in a private ceremony in Monaco, roughly three years after they began their relationship. A larger celebration with extended family and friends is planned for next year. Speaking at the time of the wedding, Leclerc described it as “one of those days that I’ll forever remember. And same for Alex, and the same for our family.”
“It was family only, and it was very small and secret in a way, which we really enjoyed. We’ll do another one with all of our closest friends in actually quite a bit of time,” he said, adding that organising the larger event would “take some time.”
Leclerc flew directly from the Monaco ceremony to Melbourne for the season opener, noting he arrived “still very happy and excited for the wedding and excited for starting the race.”
The personal news comes during a competitive but imperfect 2026 season for the Monégasque driver. He sits fourth in the drivers’ championship with 138 points, behind championship leader Kimi Antonelli and Ferrari team-mate Lewis Hamilton, who is second on 169 points. Ferrari occupies second in the constructors’ standings with 307 points, 72 adrift of Mercedes.
