Jamie Vardy to host live Bundesliga matches on YouTube starting with Bayern vs Stuttgart

Jamie Vardy is moving into live football broadcasting, hosting seven Bundesliga fixtures this season on his YouTube channel, ‘Jamie Vardy’s Having a Party’. The former Leicester and England striker, 39, launches the series with Friday’s Bundesliga opener between Bayern Munich and Stuttgart.

The arrangement is part of a deal with Bundesliga Media covering seven Friday evening matches. It runs alongside a separate renewed agreement between Bundesliga Media and the YouTube channel That’s Football, hosted by Mark Goldbridge.

“Fans don’t just want to watch football anymore, they want to experience it with the people they already know and trust,” said Rick Murray, chief executive of Workerbee, the media and entertainment company producing the live show. “Jamie has built an incredible community around the podcast, and thanks to our Bundesliga partnership, we can bring that audience closer to some seriously big games.”

Goldbridge added: “The reaction from our community last year was incredible — the fans couldn’t get enough of the atmosphere, the top-tier football, and live watch-alongs.”

Vardy is currently a free agent after leaving Italian club Cremonese at the end of last season, when his contract expired. He had joined Cremonese following his departure from Leicester in 2025, ending a 13-year association with the club. In Serie A he scored seven goals in 29 appearances but could not prevent Cremonese from being relegated.

Vardy’s legacy at Leicester remains one of English football’s most celebrated stories. He was central to the club’s extraordinary Premier League title win in 2016 and their FA Cup triumph five years later, when they beat Chelsea in the final at Wembley. Leicester have since suffered successive relegations and now compete in League One under manager Russell Martin.

At international level, Vardy earned 26 caps for England and represented the Three Lions at Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup.
