Guéla Doué chooses Leverkusen and turns his back on PSG
Versatile defender at Strasbourg and older brother of Désiré, Guéla Doué has reportedly reached a contract agreement with Bayer Leverkusen. The German club is reportedly prepared to offer €35 million, including bonuses, to RC Strasbourg.
Guéla Doué will not join Paris Saint-Germain this summer. According to media outlets Kicker and Foot Mercato, the versatile defender at RC Strasbourg has already reached a contract agreement with Bayer Leverkusen, who have made him their priority as the summer transfer window draws to a close.
The older brother of Désiré Doué was nonetheless being linked with PSG, which could have reunited the two brothers under the same shirt. But it is ultimately towards the Bundesliga that the Alsatian player is turning, preferring the reigning German champions to the French capital.
It now remains for the two clubs to agree on the transfer fee. According to Kicker, Leverkusen is willing to propose €35 million to RCSA, bonuses included. The question is whether this offer will be deemed sufficient by Strasbourg’s management to let go of one of their most coveted players.
