Contract Disagreements Could Push Harry Kane Out of Bayern This Summer
Under contract with Bayern Munich until 2027, Harry Kane is reportedly at odds with the club over the terms of a contract extension, according to Kicker. A departure this summer is not ruled out, with England, Saudi Arabia and Barcelona cited as possible destinations.
Harry Kane could leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, as negotiations for a contract extension have stalled. According to German magazine Kicker, “disagreements have recently emerged between the player and the club concerning the terms and duration of a new contract”.
The 32-year-old English striker, who arrived in Bavaria to end his trophy drought, has since won two Bundesliga titles. Tied to the club until 2027, he was nonetheless in discussions in recent weeks for an extension until 2028 or 2029. These talks now appear to be at an impasse.
Kicker notes that several clubs are already monitoring Kane’s situation. Among the possible destinations mentioned: a return to the Premier League, a move to Saudi Arabia, or a switch to FC Barcelona, whose name has recently circulated in this matter.
Kane joined Bayern in the summer of 2023 from Tottenham, after having long been linked with Manchester City. Since then, he has established himself as one of Europe’s best strikers, but a split with the Bavarian club remains possible if no common ground is found on his contractual future.
