Calhanoglu and Frattesi propel Inter and Lazio to two wins in two matches
Inter Milan and Lazio Rome each secured a second consecutive victory in Serie A on Sunday. Inter won away at Cagliari (0-1) thanks to Calhanoglu, while Lazio beat Genoa (1-0) via Frattesi.
Inter Milan and Lazio Rome confirmed their strong start to the Serie A season on Sunday, both winning for the second consecutive matchday.
Inter travelled to Cagliari and got the job done with a bare minimum: a 0-1 victory secured as early as the 9th minute through a goal from Hakan Calhanoglu. The Nerazzurri were not at their best, but they picked up three points and remain in step with the other title contenders in the championship.
Lazio followed a similar pattern against Genoa (1-0). It was new signing Davide Frattesi who made the difference in the 25th minute, scoring his second goal in two matches in his new colours. An ideal start for the former Inter midfielder, who has already established himself as a decisive player in Roma’s setup.
These two results continue a weekend where the big teams secured what mattered: Juventus and AC Milan had already validated their second victory earlier in the day. In Serie A, the title favourites are advancing together and without a stumble after two matchdays.
