Jan Blachowicz and Bogdan Guskov will finally settle their unfinished business at UFC Belgrade — officially UFC Fight Night 283 — on August 1 at Belgrade Arena in Serbia, after the promotion confirmed the light heavyweight rematch.

The two fighters first met at UFC 325 in December, producing a majority draw that left neither man with a definitive answer. A rematch was booked for UFC 328 on May 9, but Blachowicz was forced to pull out due to injury, pushing the bout back to the Belgrade card.

Blachowicz, 43, is a former UFC light heavyweight champion, but his recent record tells a story of a fighter navigating one of the division’s most unforgiving eras. He is just 1-3-2 across his last six Octagon appearances dating back to October 2021, with losses to Carlos Ulberg, Alex Pereira, and Glover Teixeira alongside draws against Magomed Ankalaev and Guskov. The quality of opposition, however, has been consistently elite.

Guskov arrived at their first meeting on the back of a four-fight finishing streak inside the UFC, having stopped Zac Pauga, Ryan Spann, Billy Elekana, and Nikita Krylov in succession. The 33-year-old from Uzbekistan has finished all 18 of his professional victories inside the distance, underlining the finishing threat he carries into every fight.

UFC Belgrade is headlined by a welterweight contest between Uros Medic and Daniel Rodriguez, with the Blachowicz–Guskov rematch adding significant weight to a card being held in Serbia.
