Bayern Munich denies receiving any offer for Michael Olise this summer

Bayern Munich has put an end to speculation surrounding Michael Olise: CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen told Sport1 that no offer was received for the French international this summer, and that no contact took place with any third club.

« That simply wasn’t the truth. That’s why I said it publicly. We had not received any offer », Dreesen insisted, directly addressing rumors of Real Madrid interest that circulated during the transfer window. The executive had already made similar comments two months earlier in Munich, but felt it necessary to repeat them.

On the substance, Bayern’s position leaves no room for ambiguity. « We have always stated that we were not interested in a sale. Olise is of capital importance to this team. He’s a magician on the pitch », Dreesen added. Signed in summer 2024 from Crystal Palace, the 23-year-old winger quickly established himself as a central cog in Munich’s system.

The question of a contract extension remains open. Dreesen tempered expectations on this front: « It’s tricky to make promises in this business. We’ll have another discussion next summer. » Olise is currently tied to Bayern until June 2029, which indeed gives all parties time to negotiate without rushing.
