Ballon d'Or and contract extension: Harry Kane commits to Bayern until 2029
Ten days after receiving the 2026 Ballon d'Or, Harry Kane signed a contract extension with Bayern Munich through June 30, 2029. The English striker, who has scored 156 goals in 161 matches for the Bavarian club, already has 10 goals and 8 assists in 10 matches this season.
Harry Kane has extended his contract with Bayern Munich through June 30, 2029, the German club announced on Thursday. The signing comes just ten days after the English striker received the 2026 Ballon d’Or on October 26.
In its official statement, Bayern recalled Kane’s impressive record since his arrival in Munich in summer 2023: two Bundesliga titles, one DFB-Pokal, two Franz Beckenbauer Supercups, and 156 goals scored in 161 matches, a total that saw him break several domestic and European records. The 2025-2026 season was also crowned by the Golden Boot.
At 33 years old, Kane expressed his satisfaction at continuing his Bayern adventure. “I feel at home at Bayern. I love this club, the fans and the city of Munich,” he said, praising the work of his manager Vincent Kompany. “My whole family is very happy here. I wanted to stay.”
The former Tottenham captain has no intention of stopping there. “I want to win many more titles with this great club,” he added. A credible objective given his current season start: 10 goals and 8 assists in 10 matches across all competitions.
