Arsenal target Leao sent off for punching Chile player in Portugal World Cup warm-up

Rafael Leao was sent off for violent conduct during Portugal’s final World Cup warm-up match against Chile, deepening what has been a turbulent few months for the AC Milan winger and Arsenal transfer target.

Leao became embroiled in a brawl on the touchline, pushing a Chile opponent several times before striking him in the face. VAR reviewed the incident and the referee showed Leao a straight red card. Chile’s Ivan Roman was also dismissed for his part in the altercation.
