The Professional Fighters League has confirmed a welterweight clash between Khamzat Abaev and Leon Hill for its Dubai event on November 14 at Coca-Cola Arena.

Abaev (6-1) returns to action following a first-round knockout of Luca Poclit at PFL Brussels in May, stopping his opponent at 2:56 to bounce back from his first professional defeat — a loss to Chequina Noso Pedro in July 2025. The win underlined his finishing ability and sets up a meaningful test against an opponent arriving in strong form.

Hill (9-2) brings a four-fight winning streak into the bout. The Irish welterweight most recently stopped Aldo Pereira in February under the Cage Warriors banner, and has not tasted defeat since Ieuan Davies edged him in October 2023. His run of form makes him one of the more compelling prospects on the card.

The welterweight addition further bolsters a Dubai lineup already headlined by a heavyweight title fight between reigning champion Vadim Nemkov and Sergey Bilostenniy. With Nemkov — a former PFL light heavyweight champion who has since moved up — defending against Bilostenniy at the top of the bill, the event carries genuine weight across multiple divisions.

The Abaev vs. Hill matchup pits two fighters with clear momentum against each other, with both men capable of finishing bouts inside the distance. Abaev’s recent knockout form and Hill’s unbeaten run since late 2023 give the welterweight contest a competitive edge that should make it one of the more watchable bouts on the November 14 card.
